Nature Nearing at Prairie Pines!

We suggest that you get closer to nature by taking a mindful hike in the woods or across the prairie on one of our many grassed trails. Find a little more action on the Nature Ninja obstacle course for kids. We embrace and promote human contact with nature and the "rewilding of children". Significant research comprehensively shows nature experience to mitigate stress, enhance immunity, improve mental and physical health and enrich learning, especially in children. Contact with nature is an inexpensive health intervention that promotes environmental ethics and action that support the ecosystem services nature provides. These behoove community recognition and investment as we face the impact of climate change and other challenges such as a pandemic. Download a trail map
